Born and raised in Japan, Momoca creates paper art (flowers, fruits, and vegetables), paintings, installations, murals, altars, and special event decorations. Her exhibition is taken from her impressions during her travels, which she paints and sketches as a way to digest and reflect upon her memories of traveling, where they combine, overlap, and fade, becoming patterns of memory.
The intimate drawings and paintings she creates while traveling (Portugal, Morocco, Turkey, India, Vietnam, Poland, Bosnia, Mexico, among others) are usually reserved for herself, but she has chosen to share them with Mexico, which inspired her the most.
